Hermes StackWiseAR

I developed StackWiseAR as a freelance project for Hermes Logistics Germany, one of the leading logistics companies. The app was designed to optimise warehouse logistics by helping users to load packages into trucks efficiently and safely using mixed reality. Working on this project has been a valuable learning experience, enabling me to explore AR/MR development using Unity, as well as working with stakeholders.

  Overview

    Link zu Überschrift

Designed to optimise warehouse logistics, StackWiseAR is a mixed reality application that assists users in efficiently loading packages into trucks. It provides an interactive 3D visualisation of a truck’s interior, showing the optimal arrangement of packages based on their dimensions and weight. Using AR/MR technology, StackWiseAR helps warehouse workers to quickly identify where each package should be placed, thereby reducing loading time and improving overall efficiency and safety. The app also influcdes a sufficient onboarding process to ensure that users can quickly understand how to use the app and its features.

Calibre-Web-Companion

I initially created Calibre-Web-Companion as a personal side project, since I love reading books and wanted a mobile app to access my Calibre Web (Automated) server. Once I had developed the first version, I published it on GitHub and shared it on Reddit. I was surprised by the positive reception and growing user base, which motivated me to continue improving the app and adding new features. This project has been a valuable learning experience, enabling me to explore mobile development with Flutter while contributing to the open-source community.

I joined the PEARL project in 2022 to help develop the mobile version of the app. In 2024, I began developing the MR version for Meta Quest devices. Working on this project has been a valuable learning experience, enabling me to explore AR/MR development with Unity and conduct valuable research on the topic.

  Overview

    Link zu Überschrift

PEARL is an augmented reality mobile app designed to introduce electrical engineering students to essential laboratory instruments through interactive, guided training. Available on smartphones, tablets and MR glasses (e.g. Meta Quest 3), the app simulates the use of oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters and breadboards in an immersive 3D environment. Integrated tutorials and assessments reinforce learning and help students develop confidence in handling complex equipment, even before they set foot in a physical lab.
